Diversity Leadership Conference
Saturday, April 2, 2011
Elon University
Please join us for an array of exciting and engaging programs at Elon University's Second Annual Diversity Leadership Conference, April 1-2. This year's theme is "Exploring the Essence of Power, Privilege, Oppression, and Inequality."
Tim Wise, a well known antiracist activist, will be the keynote speaker
at the conference. Registration for this conference is normally
$40, but because NCHO is partnering with Elon University, registration
for NCHO members has been reduced to $25. This price includes a one-day
registration price for April 2. NCHO members who wish to attend both
days of the conference can register through Elon for the full $40 fee at the following website: https://www.elon.edu/webservices_1/onlineRegistration
In addition to the reduced registration fee, NCHO professionals will be
able to attend the White Like Me book discussion hosted by Tim Wise on
April 2. Please e-mail MarQuita Barker at mbarker4@elon.edu to reserve a space if you
are interested in participating in this discussion. Space is limited, so
please RSVP to MarQuita Barker by March 1.
We also need NCHO members to serve as presenters and volunteers, so if
you are interested in presenting, please complete the program proposal
form below. Interested volunteers can contact MarQuita Barker at mbarker4@elon.edu
directly.
